Maldição em forma de música por Eluveitie

Quem curte Folk Metal, assim como eu, deve conhecer a banda Eluveitie. Formada na Suíça, a banda costuma usar vários instrumentos musicais celtas em suas composições, assim como cantam em gaulês, uma língua extinta. Contam em seus álbuns histórias do povo celta e seus confrontos com os romanos. Uma dessas músicas se chama "Desumiis Luge", de tradução "Eu juro por Lugh". Lugh, pra quem não conhece, deus celta a qual dedicam a primeira colheita do ano, o festival de Lughnasad. Seu nome significa "Luz", pois é brilhante como o Sol. Acredita-se que na segunda metade do ano Lugh está longe de nós, por isso temos a parte escura, a celebração do Yule, onde acendemos fogueiras e pedimos a volta de Lugh.

Essa música traz a adaptação de um texto antigo em gaulês amaldiçoando alguns líderes romanos durante as Guerras Gaulesas. O texto foi encontrado em um pedaço de chumbo de 4 a 6 centímetros, encontrado em Chalmiers. O texto também se encontra no livro "War, Women and Druids: Eyewitness Reports And Early Accounts of the Ancient Celts" (Guerra, Mulheres e Druidas: Testemunhas Oculares e Registros Iniciais dos Antigos Celtas) de Philip Freeman.

Infelizmente o site que fornecia informações sobre essa tabuleta, fotos e traduções está fora do ar, todas as informações aqui eu consegui no fórum da banda Eluveitie e no fórum Rome Wiki. Também não possuo o livro mencionado acima, então não encontrei nenhuma foto da tabuleta para postar. (/sad)
